“In Love, We Find” EP Release

I’m excited to announce the release of my new EP In Love, We Find today! This project has been a while in the making, and I hope you all enjoy some real music. I haven’t used my voice very much in my currently released music, so this is a chance to hear a bit more of me.

I wrote “Drop” during my residency at Catalyst Institute for Creative Arts and Technology. It was meant to utilize some of the gear I had access to there, including a Nord Electro and a Roland TR-8. It’s very flowing and has a form reminiscent of Jake Chudnow’s music.

“In Love, We Find” is my first real song I suppose. The form is somewhat experimental, the lyrics are sort of vague and nonspecific, and the song is built around a repeating vocal stack I made of the title.

“Stranger” is an exercise in sludge and disgusting music. The main vocal part was recorded on my laptop microphone that cut out likely due to a conflict in sample rate. The piano sample at the end is a little slice of a Kiljester recording I made back in October.

“Dreams of November” is just a demo currently, but takes much inspiration from Gabriel Kahane’s “November” from his album Book of Travelers. November has been a defining month for the past few years and holds much emotional significance to me personally.

In Love, We Find is available on Bandcamp for purchase, as well as streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, and wherever you stream your music. All links should be at the bottom of this page.
